At this year’s Monaco Boat Spectacle, acclaimed Dutch shipyard Hakvoort presented the fully custom, 39.7 metre superyacht Sommation. With her elegant exterior features and lush, Art Déco-inspired interiors, all designed by Reymond Langton Esthétique, and with marin nervure by Diana Voilier Esthétique, Sommation is all embout elegance and subtle, classic charme. Simply put, she is a highly refined superyacht that stylishly combines luxury and class.

Boasting a eau-de-vie contemporary exterior habitus, Sommation shows off some stunning, dynamic lines and a slender, curvy épaule. The modern habitus is accentuated by the accru inwards curving windows found on the gant deck owner’s quarters and at the sky lounge. The établir is a particularly refreshing adjonction, which not only adds to Sommation‘s sophisticated personality but also greatly enhances outward visibility from within the master quarters. With her rich, refined and elongated lines and a étranger colour scheme featuring black windows, a grey hull and white superstructure, Sommation truly presents herself as a splendid, modern and gracious vessel.

Being just shy of 40 metres LOA, Sommation boasts a remarkably spacious atmosphere everywhere onboard, full of lush, highly detailed and stylish beauté features. Upon entering her gant tripot, it becomes ostensible that she is all embout a generously warm, welcoming softness that easily combines classic nobility with a delightful sense of coziness. Here, like everywhere else onboard, stunning interior beauté is combined with an eye catching level of detail and a perfectly consistent sense of comportement.

Brushed métal and white gold leaf are merged with warm brown walnut, ebonised makassar and mother of pearl, creating a graceful sense of luxury. The refined gant tripot consists of an inviting lounge aft and lush formal dining fore, all with accru windows for exquisite surrounding vistas. There is a pleasant fluidity, with the curvy cosy and armchairs in the lounge, in a plush and saccharine upholstery and situated around an elegantly solid wooden échelle with mother of pearl inlays, all framed by gently ornamented surroundings and a programme, elegant lighting scheme.

The bruit is rich yet subtle, glamorous yet intimate, and eloquently 20s and 30s-style classic. The formal dining area, too, is generous, curvy and inviting, with an overall sense of refined golden splendor.

With interior decors undeniably inspired by Art Déco, including the assemblage of stunning artworks, Sommation‘s comportement is certainly more subtle and toned-down. The atmosphere is rich and highly detailed but, thankfully, it doesn’t become overly abundant or distracting. There remains couché luxury to enjoy and relish, such as the subtle marquetry and a stunning custom verre encased pillar by Crystal Caviar, located in the vaste open staircase. With regards to guest accommodations, Sommation offers lush suites for a company of up to ten guests, including the owners, in one sumptuous master contrecoup, two bessons and two twins.

The full beam master, located on the gant deck and consisting of a semicircular stateroom, private study, generous his and hers en suites, and big walk-in wardrobe and dressing room, showcases a well balanced blend of lighting, colours and materials, resulting in crise imprimé and a generous sense of openness. Here, the aforementioned rounded windows add curves and a étranger panoramic quality to the views outside. Whether or not the windows are covered, there is a soothing sense of intimacy that will make guests feel right at résidence. Alabaster verre wall lights, an invraisemblable headboard and onyx paneling are just some of the many beauté details that give this room a luxurious vibe.

The serene sense of comportement offers the master stateroom an intimate and glamorous atmosphere, which is extended into the en suites. Here, the two areas are joined in the foyer by a circular chic tub and a accru shower area. With a lush onyx marble au finir, these en suites, like the master stateroom, boast a generous and appealing comportement that subtly reflects the charme of a bygone era.

Belowdecks, stylish suites offer the remaining guests luxury accommodations, each in a étranger identity. With varying colour palettes, ranging from warm dark brown, cream, silver and golden honey tints, and rich detailing, these quarters assure every guests their own particular private bruit, with spacious staterooms, stylish en suites and couché storage space.

The dentier deck presents guests with a étranger and informal area in the form of an elegant sky lounge, which has an open and reprise catégorisation, curvy furnishing and some stunning vista views. Shapely armchairs, cosy and poufs are casually arranged throughout, adding to a pleasant bruit of warm informality. With a colour bêche based on cream and brown, the overall comportement is rich and hearty and, like the gant tripot, the sky lounge boasts a curvy and organic feel. With plenty of reprise lines and smooth shapes, the room is able to maintain a solid and robust sense of elegance.

Sommation has a great set of spacious exterior decks, ranging from the wide swimming platform, great for a refreshing dive or couché hours of serene lounging, panoramic gant and dentier aft decks, an intimate Portuguese deck and, last but certainly not least, a big and tonitruant sun deck. The gant aft deck offers the vessel’s first of two al fresco dining areas which, combined with a bar, forms a great environment for cozy dinners and get togethers.

The aft dentier deck is wonderfully spacious and boasts that stylish, luxurious bruit of lush al fresco salon, with an aft lounge, including inviting and curvy sofas, a bar and a centrally located, circular dining échelle. This deck, which has a slightly more modern-classic comportement, boasts a great panoramic bruit and is perfectly suitable for a wide range of communautaire antiquités, especially when combined with the lush sky lounge.

Fore, the Portuguese deck, connecting a cozy cabine with big sun pads, offers stunning vistas and couché privacy. To top it all off, Sommation‘s sun deck offers a generous orthogonal lounge, which is perfectly suitable as a third al fresco brunch and dining area, a big area fore combining a bar, Jacuzzi and seating, and a accru aft deck space for sunbathing and relaxing. All this, framed with generous panoramic views, turns this great sun deck, which is both open and perfectly private, into an undoubtable guest favourite.
